Her's another one from the OM 135 f3.5. When I take some images using these legacy lenses the problem I have is remembering at what aperture I set the lens to. Now I tend to look at the bokeh. The clearer I can see the background, the lower the aperture.

08/14/11 Olympus OM 135 f3.5 II1421
E-P2 Focal Length: 0 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/10 sec ISO: 200 08/14/11 Olympus OM 135 f3.5 II aquired another legacy lens on ebay the other week and just tried it out on a couple of orchids we have in the house. These were taken on the E-P2 on a tripod because at this focal length (270 on a m4/3 body) I wanted to see exactly what I would get out on a serious trip (if indeed I get a chance to do another one in the future).
As you can see, it's sharp. I think it's sharper than the normal zoom lenses I use.
Comments welcome. 1240
E-P2 Focal Length: 0 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 10/20 sec ISO: 200 08/13/11 Olympus mZD 75-300 Shoots the MoonThere's a lot of talk on different forums on the web that the Olympus mZD 75-300 is not sharp and the Panasonic 100-300 beats it hands down. I personally can't agree with this and as you can see, this image is quite sharp (even though it is quite small). I have found the images from both lenses to be very good.
BTW, this image was shot on an E-P2 handheld. The mood was particularly clear on this evening. I just couldn't help myself. Just like when some clouds come over. I have to get my camera out and capture them for eternity.

E-P2 Focal Length: 300 mm Aperture: f/10.0 Exposure Time: 1/80 sec ISO: 200 08/13/11 Voigtlaender Nokton 40 f1.4 VIIThis is the last of the Nokton 40 f1.4 for now. This one I actually quite like. That hoverfly in the background is quite close to the foxglove. Really narrow depth of field with this lens.
The next images with this lens will be without a filter on. 1863
E-PL1 Focal Length: 0 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/800 sec ISO: 200 08/11/11 Voigtlaender Nokton 40 f1.4 VIJust a couple from the Nokton to go after this one. Still having to increase contrast in PP quite a lot. Maybe I should just increase it in camera. On second thoughts, since I'm a raw shooter that's not going to help at all.
Hopefully I'll get some time off soon to take this lens out for a second run. 1137
E-PL1 Focal Length: 0 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/40 sec ISO: 200 08/09/11 Voigtlaender Nokton 40 f1.4 VThis is the fifth in the series. It looks a little better but I've had to add a lot of contrast to this one.
There's a couple more to go in the series, and I'm trying to find the time (and weather) to try this lens out again without any filters on. 1290
E-PL1 Focal Length: 0 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/60 sec ISO: 200 08/06/11 Voigtlaender Nokton 40 f1.4 IVThe fourth in the series. I like the finished look of the these files. It seems that all Voigtlaender lenses gives you this as I have 3 at the moment and they all look the same. Really nice.
I'm thinkting about the Ultron 28 f2 lens at the moment, but it's a hefty price to pay especially with the new lenses Olympus and Panasonic are just bringing out onto the market. 1455
E-PL1 Focal Length: 0 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/50 sec ISO: 200 • Voigtlaender • m4/3 • Nokton • 40 f1.4 • Olympus
08/05/11 Voigtlaender Nokton 40 f1.4 IIIThe third in the series. I think you can still see the lack of contrast in this one. Not as crisp and clear as I'd hoped for.
I hope it'll be better without the filter. Just finding the time is a major problem right now. 1453
E-PL1 Focal Length: 0 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/60 sec ISO: 200 08/04/11 Voigtlaender Nokton 40 f1.4 IIHere's the second of the Nokton images. See what I mean about the not so good bokeh.
Let's see what the others bring tomorrow. 1689
E-PL1 Focal Length: 0 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/60 sec ISO: 200 08/03/11 Voigtlaender Nokton 40 f1.4I'd heard so much about this lens, small sharp and basically just great. Well, I'm not overly impressed with it right now. I got it off ebay which might be why the person sold it but I did notice there was a filter attached. Looking at the LCD after taking the shots, they looked fine but, on downloading them I noticed a ditinct lack of contrast in nearly all of the images. Bokeh didn't look too good either. I'll post some five images here in the following days so you can hudge for youselves. I think I'll take it out for another run before I committ myself to a final vedrict.
And, I've bought that very expesive hood for it and I'll take off the filter. These filters are the main cause for a lack of contrast. 1683
